Say what you will about Cindy (and there have been just a few opinions…….cough) – whether you loved her, hated her, or ignored her, She had her vision of what she believed and did what any American should do if they feel wronged……..Protest. If there is one thing Old Cin Cin had it was balls. Most of us are afraid to ask for a day off let alone tackle W outside Crawford. Protest is how we got here, folks, and in a new America of blind compliance (please don’t give me the blue and red state crap), we have become a legion of cretinous and languorous apostles of anyone who steps up to the microphone (Bill, Nancy, Al….Sharpton, that is, Walsh et al) .  Cindy endured smear and hatred (see aforementioned- it’s what they do best) but didn’t back down until it became apparent that she was doing all the work and the politicos we’re merely using her to trump up an agenda or give their speech writers some fodder.

What’s truly significant here is that her parting shots are not to the right…no no no no……they are aimed at her feigned com padres; the ever increasing limp middle. You see folks, this is where the rubber meets the road when protecting our rights and our freedoms. Apathy, indifference and a total reluctance to tackle injustice for fear of being labeled a sympathizer to a socially hot button demographic, has provided a shot of oxygen to the out of control fear fire that’s engulfing this country. Even our most stout Libertarians have fallen into step as exhibited in their silence as well. The old tacit acceptance.

………Excuse me, I had to adjust the camera that is peering through my window. For my own safety, ya know…. also got one in my fridge to guard against me ingesting any trans-fats.

Cindy Sheehan stepping down because of this fear, smear and indifference, is a sad sign of the times. Say what you will, but at least she had the stones to risk the unpleasant consequences of being a squeaky wheel for something unpopular.

We sorely need more dissenters with that kind of moxy if we’re ever to stem a tide which will see all of our citizens subject to unimaginable surveillance, public humiliation, fear and a hang ‘em high justice all in the name of keeping us safe. You listening, Ginsberg? Cindy was destined to be on the Social Malcontent Registry – public needs to be informed as to her whereabouts, ya know. She may move next to an Army Base.

Yes, say what you will about Cindy Sheehan, but at least she tried. At least she did that. Now, what’s your excuse?

In a world of media/political fear mongering (yes, Bill, that left leaning, Soros guided faction has become an unwitting accomplice in spinning the fear machine Rather out of control) , where facts never get in the way of good story, a good vote, government appropriations and good old fashioned ratings share, we ( US of A) find our country at a dangerous crossroads. A post 9-11 America has been conditioned to accept an unparalleled affront to our 4th and 8th amendments, all under the guise of keeping us safe. This has resulted in a brown shirt mentality where trust and common sense have both booked tickets out of town and the self righteous have become a central (party) replete with a dangerous and intolerant voice. The terrorists have (at least until now) succeeded in comprimising the  most important and cherished  targets that we as a people – Yes, We the People! – have as our icons of freedom……The Constitution and The Bill (not O’Reilly) of Rights.  While one would need to have had a lobotomy not to see the danger that the Jihadists pose as well as the concern over other violent factions and criminals, we cannot, and must not include the erosion of rights as a method operandi. All will lose and many will be lost should this continue.

I find the climate of fear and intolerance stifling these days and wish to do something about it, hence this effort. No sacred cows either – it’s a large carpet with room for many – you listening you cowardly Supreme Court and sniveling 9th Circuit. Seems you’ve fallen Right in Step (goose) with the mob. Keep those cameras rolling, those wires tapped and everybody’s face up for the world to see and judge

So break out your branding irons and your stripped pajamas as we head to the Salem Gallows.  We got some issues to face, folks.
Finally, a special thanks to those who gave their lives so that I may have this forum. I salute you and honour the rights your sacrifice provided all of us.
